“L’opera esce dal blocco pezzo a pezzo (sottrazione). [...] L’opera come attività umana è, tanto in senso produttivo quanto ricettivo: movimento. In senso produttivo essa dipende dai limiti manuali del creatore [...] In senso ricettivo essa dipende dai limiti dell’occhio che percepisce.”
