Federica Mambrini (1994, Mantova) graduated in architecture at Politecnico di Milano (2019) and attended the Master in Photography at IUAV Venice (2021).

Her visual research revolves around some attempts to investigate and sabotage balances and tensions through an interdisciplinary approach. She comes from an architectural background and is interested in everything built, to be built or deconstructed.

She has taken part in numerous artist residencies, most recently in 2026 in Lerici (SP) with Spazi Fotografici, as part of the Fondazione San Paolo Starter grant program, and in 2024 in the Atacama Desert with LaWayakaCurrent. Her first research project, Come costruire un castello di carte, was published in November 2022 with Giostre Edizioni. In 2023 she won the Italian Council funding. Between 2023 and 2026 she held three personal exhibitions, respectively at the Museo de Historia Natural in Valparaiso (Chile), at Mutty in Mantova (Italy) and at Foto Forum (Bolzano). She also held one collective exhibition at JEST in Turin. In may 2026 she exhibited in Fotografia Europea festival. Her work was recently acquired by Regione Veneto in Villa Contarini.
